After several flights, long lines, and many bags to carry, we made it to Costa Rica! We are safe and sound, and very excited about the week ahead of us!

Hugs Everywhere

As we started the service, we welcomed each other to the house of the Lord. We gave and received hugs from everyone! We felt God’s love and so much joy!

Introductions

We had time to introduce ourselves to the church and to share a little about the blessing it is for us to be here in CR. We are very excited about the people we will meet, the houses we will visit and the kids we will play with this week as we go out into the community.

God’s Presence

Pastor Brandon shared this morning the word with the church! Isaiah heard God and He answered him! Isaiah went through a process where he encounter God, confessed his sins, repented, and encountered the presence of God!

We need to do that to be able to share the good news with everyone around us!

We had a special time celebrating Pastora Kathia. Today is her birthday and we sang happy birthday and prayed over her!

God’s Work

Sometimes we do not understand God’s plan in our lives or reason to do or to go! But, it is so rewarding when He shows up, and reveals His plans to us!

Food Distribution

We went to the supermarket to buy groceries for the Food Distribution Ministry that we will be doing this week! We will be blessing 26 families in the community with a bag of food, a Bible, and prayer!

Preparations

Once we arrived at the church, we set up everything for our first day of clinics! Patients were ready and so were we!

In our first station, our doctors received and heard from different patients about their different needs. We checked their ears, their mouth, and we listened to their heart and lungs.

The Word of God

Everyone who came to the clinics not only received a free service and medication, but we were also able to share a Bible with them!

Food Distribution

We walked into the community to deliver our first nine bags of groceries. Some people were not expecting us and were very happy to see us! We were able to bless them with a bag of groceries and with prayer for their needs!

Visiting Homes

We had an amazing time visiting the families and their homes. Praying and blessing them was wonderful and we loved how welcoming and loving they were to us!

Cooking in Costa Rica

Day 2

We started off our second day of clinics and as soon as we arrived, there were some patients ready to be seen. We prayed that God would lead us in everything we were doing and He did!

First Station

Savannah and Tatum are ready to serve you! They took everyone’s blood pressure and led them to the next station. They were very kind and served all of the patients very well.

Largo o Cerca?

Our glasses station was very busy! Many people have come from different communities to get checked by Dr. Lyn. She cared for them and gave the best glasses to each patient.

Helping Any Way We Can!

As we serve the community, we serve any way we can! From taking blood pressure to hearing their needs, from giving free meds to holding their hands.

We have loved our time here and all the ways we can serve and love on others!

Prayer Station

We had several people coming to the clinics and we were able to pray over them. We prayed for families, we prayed for health, we prayed for restoration, we prayed over marriages, we prayed over sons and daughters, we prayed over the kids of the world, and we prayed for the world!

Why did Jesus Die on the Cross?

We asked the kids about Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross. Why did Jesus die on the cross for us?

Our kids agreed that Jesus gave His life for us because He loves us so much!

What a beautiful sacrifice Jesus did for us and how beautiful it is that our kids know what Jesus did for them!

Soccer

98 Years Old

During food distribution, we were able to visit 7 different families in the community. On one visit, we meet Mrs. Roberta, a beautiful lady who is 98 years old! She is full of love and life! We were able to bless her and prayed over her family, her home, and her life!

350 People

We had a blast this week! We had clinics for three days and we were able to bless over 350 people! We cared for and loved over 350 people including kids, moms, dads, elderly and more!

Praying for One Another

Friendships Last Forever

We had a blast playing with the kids on our last day of VBS! We played Pato, Pato, Ganso! We love all of the moments we are able to share together.

Floribeth

We were blessed to spend our week with Floribeth. She cooked for us and we were able to care for her! She blessed us with some flowers and butterflies!

Nos Vemos Pronto

We said "see you later" to our new friends in this community! They have blessed our lives and changed them forever! Our hope is that they can continue to build a church that is alive and vibrant!

Rec Day

For our Rec Day we spent time at the Animal Sanctuary! We saw monkeys, crocodiles, sloths, butterflies, snakes, and more! It was an amazing experience to see the ocean from the "Superman" zipline and feel the ocean under our feet at the beach!
