Spanning from eastern Texas to northern Florida, the Gulf Coast region is known for its Southern hospitality, vibrant culture, grit in the face of adversity, and inviting communities. It is an area prone to hurricanes, floods, and other natural disasters, and recovery from past events is an ongoing process.
Most recently, Hurricane Laura, Hurricane Delta, and Hurricane Ida made landfall in Lake Charles, LA and New Orleans respectively. These cities and their surrounding areas experienced unbelievable destruction and hardship, working to rebuild and recover in the midst of the pandemic.
PPM is proud to partner alongside local churches as they engage in the ongoing work of recovery in their communities - physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Our partners are deeply invested in their communities and the work our teams engage in flows naturally out of the commitment of these churches and pastors to their neighborhoods.
When you serve on a mission trip in the Gulf Coast region, you can be assured that the work your team is doing is feeding into genuine, healthy ministry that is locally driven. Activities range from kids ministry to food distribution to service projects to prayer outreach and more.
