At Daily Bread, We had many God moments and moments to remember. We shared Jesus with others through our actions. Even after people left, more continued to come for food. One man had run to get here before we left. Some of us broke out of our comfort zones. We worked wonderfully as a team. We also had the opportunity to meet with the director and learn more about the people who come to Daily Bread.

This morning, both of our groups went to Daily Bread to continue working on our projects. We finished painting the dining room floor, heaters, and poles. This was taken while they were painting the poles. The floor was previously a concrete color. The poles and heater also look so much better. Now, the food can be served in a warmer and peaceful space.

At Parkview Towers, we celebrated Christmas because they had a fire in December and were not able to celebrate. So we brought snacks. They sang Christmas songs and received gifts. They loved it!
During Bingo for more gifts, a lady's grandaiughter was given a teddy bear which she loved almost as much as she did us. The group won various items such as blankets and pillows.
by Rebecca Bell | July 6, 2017 3:55 PM
After celebrating Christmas, we continued to bond with the Parkview Towers residents through talking and various activities.
A group of us took turns playing a man who was a pool shark. He had been playing since he was 16. He loved playing us.
We also played Apples to Apples; and other card games. It was sad to say goodbye.

We prayed with Paster Diana as we left her church. She was so thankful for the work we had done and the time we gave to the kids of the community. A few hugs and a prayer later we hit the road to go back to the hotel for a shower before supper. Our last day was a bitter-sheet one.
