This morning we are joining the Primera Iglesia Bautista de Medianía Alta in their worship service. We are so blessed to be joining our brothers and sisters in Christ to praise our Father despite cultural and language differences.

This afternoon we are doing a prayer walk around the community of Loiza. We are so happy to be getting to know the people from the community and sharing with them the word of God. We are taking some time to pray over their prayer requests as well.

Meeting the School Director

Today we are at Carmen Feliciano Middle School. We are here to work with the students in the morning and paint in the afternoon. As soon as we got to the school we got to meet the director and she was telling us about the school and giving us a tour of the facilities and the classrooms.

This morning we are going to one of the special education classes in their physical education class. We are starting by watching some soccer videos to then go out to play. We are so blessed to be getting to know these kids and spend some time with them.

A group of us went to the English as a Second Language class. The students at the school got to present themselves in English while our students presented themselves in Spanish. A true language exchange as we are all learning from each other.

Tonight we are joining the youth of Iglesia Bautista de Medianía Alta in their Bible study under the theme Church vs Temple. It’s a blessing being able to learn about the word of God with these amazing young ladies.

English Class Day 2

Today is our second day of helping at the school. A group of us is helping in English class and we are covering verbs past, present and future. First the students introduced themselves and then we had people from the classes introduce themselves as well and share something about Jesus. Then we helped with the class.

Both the principal of Christian Heritage Academy and the principal of Escuela Carmen Feliciano Carreras sat down to talk and listen to each other's heart for their schools-the challenges they face and how to empower their students. We also talked about future partnerships and what to do. After our talk, we finished praying for each other.
