We have arrived!by Almando Jean Louis | November 26, 2015 9:28 PM
Our flight from Atlanta was nice and smooth. We made it to Haiti as it was scheduled. Our Praying Pelican Missions staff welcomed us warmly with cold drinks. We got on a school bus and drove straight to Auberge du Quebec, a very nice hotel. It took us only about 25 minutes to get to the hotel from the airport. We were not expecting such a quick trip but we have learned that after 8 pm traffic is very good in Haiti.
We have already settled in and have our baby kits ready for our visit at the maternity hospital tomorrow in the morning. We can not wait!
Great busy day!by Almando Jean Louis | November 27, 2015 7:28 PM
As it was scheduled, we visited the maternity ward this morning. We didn't know what to expect but we were surprised by the amount of people we saw there. We witnessed a lot of soon to be moms and a lot of new born babies. We prayed with the moms and gave them the gifts we brought for them. We had a great visit!
ASHCA visit....by Almando Jean Louis | November 27, 2015 7:43 PM
We headed directly to ASHCA from the maternity ward. Our visit with the kids and the people there is more than words can describe. We saw things that broke our hearts and things that brought joy to our hearts....We spend a great couple of hours playing with the kids, loving on them and being loved by them. We colored on shirts, blew bubbles, jumped rope, kicked a soccer ball around...and we also had a chance to help feed them.

Our Sunday!by Almando Jean Louis | November 29, 2015 8:09 PM
It was another full day today. We loved our experience at church and were glad that we could be a part of it. We had the privilege to individually share a verse and some thoughts with the church. We also sang "How great is our God" as a group.
We ended the day playing with the kids at Ashca and Good Shepherd Orphanage and strengthening the relationships we have built with the people in both places.
It was hard to say good bye to them but we rejoice knowing that we will see them again.
