Today we partner with The Feast and pastor Caleb. He is on the board of the West Broadway Neighborhood Association and his family rocks! Being in the community serving is the blood that runs through their veins. Excited to see our projects for the morning!

After meeting Rod and learning about WBNA - we are walking to the community garden (another crew is headed to the park)
Supplying a space in the community for neighbors to grow their own healthy food. A healthy life physically and spiritually is The Feast.

We got to clean up trash and glass outside of the West Side Play area today. This is a place where kids can play inside during the winter months to get their energy out.
Park Clean Upby Robin Keller | June 22, 2015 10:45 AM
At the park, we painted benches, stained a bridge, and picked up the trash around. This is the second most used park in the city.

why the tears.....watershed by Michele Mitchell | June 23, 2015 11:36 AM
Nicole is sharing with the team the tragedy of preservation of fresh water for the city. With the history of being an industry town and also the abundance of salt water, (they are known as the ocean state) the systems to ensure fresh water are out dated. WRW is working hard to secure a healthy future for the people of Providence with fresh water. We are excited to work in the park green space, the community garden, and the bike trail - Improving quality of life. In light of being aware of the physical need the community has for fresh water, we also know the need for the living water! That is our prayer today as we use this project as a tool to ensure both.

Neighbors Sharing Hopeby Robin Keller | June 24, 2015 9:47 PM
The Genesis Project was created by a group of friends to feed their neighbors in need. They also have a clothing nook along with their food share program. On Monday, we went door to door around Blackstone Valley Church hanging bags and flyers, asking people to leave out non perishible items for The Genesis Project. Today, we went back to the houses to search for those who had left out food for us. To complete the circle, we took the food to The Genesis Project and sorted it to give out to the community. Rodney at The Genesis Project truly understands sustainable ministry and genuine partnership.
Farm to Tableby Robin Keller | June 24, 2015 9:52 PM
For lunch today, we went to Massachusetts and met with Julie. She runs the Gilded Tomato catering company, and she uses the money from that to support a shelter in Nepal for children who have been sex trafficked.

The VBS game crew does a great job of having fun with the kids.
school yard rock by Michele Mitchell | June 24, 2015 10:52 PM
Asa Messer Elementary School was looking for some strong hands to help till the ground outside of the school building. This area is where the kids hang out while parents come and pick them up. Creating value with beautiful spaces for kids to play is a focus of the principal. We had a great time churning the ground, or should i say rock while praying over the kids in this community.

Learning about the culture of Providence and learning how this church plant is going about sharing the love of Christ.
Pastor Andrew prayed with us as we are finishing up our last day of ministry.
Partnering along side the local church gave us the opportunity to serve and love on the people of Providence.
