After getting settled in at our host church, the team was eager for some fuel after travel day. We ended up at Hiccups to have some amazing churros, ice cream, and smoothies.

This morning we were blessed to join Memorial Baptist Pasadena in Worship! After service we were able to talk to our host Pastor, Jason, about the upcoming week. Can’t wait to work alongside with Memorial!

After church today, we did a little exploring! We visited the POST downtown where we got to eat some great food and see the beautiful skyline.

This morning we were able to clear out and pull weeds from Memorial’s community garden. The produce growing here goes to a food pantry within the community.

This afternoon we were able to pack hurricane preparedness kits and animal meals. These will be sent out to home-bound seniors in the Houston area.

Today half of New hope went to Impact Houston to serve in the food distribution department. They served over 300 families in the Houston area!

The other half of the New Hope team served over 300 meals to the homeless in the heart of downtown.

Part of our team was able to return to Loaves and Fish today. Some of the team handing out meals were able to pray with some families there. Super thankful to Larry and Patrick for letting us serve along side them!

Catholic Charities

The other part of the New Hope team went to Catholic Charities to help at one of their food pantry’s. Most of the students were able to help local Houstonians go around the facility and get their groceries.
