Our wonderful team from Brenthaven Church arrived last night! We cannot wait to see what God has in store for our week!

Pastor Perry giving us instructions before we hit the streets around the church building to seek God with open eyes AND hearts to see and then follow the Spirit’s prompting to pray for the needs within the community.

The team started out Sunday morning by attending the beautiful St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, our partner church for the week. We were happily welcomed by Pastor Perry and his wife, Susan. Ean introduced our group to the congregation, and we met a few of the members we will be serving with this week. We are praying for a productive & safe week!

Just us enjoying some downtime playing games. It’s very apparent that this crew enjoys one another’s company.

On the first day of service projects, the team prepped the children’s area for laying sod. Pastor Perry and new friends, Alida and John, joined us in working very hard! We are so thankful for an amazing day and cannot wait to get back at it tomorrow!

Our team quickly & successfully finished laying sod this morning with the help of Pastor Perry, Alida & John, and Anders & James, friends from St. John’s Church. Reverend Ean gave the team one last job to do before completion - rolling the sod down into the ground. The students rolled all over the grass and finished the job!

Josh, James, Jay, and our new friend Mr. John, worked extremely hard to breakdown a shed for the church. These guys demonstrated diligence and dedication to their task as they worked together to complete the project!

Leah, Sophie, Lilly, and Rev. Ean unboxed & organized 80 computers for St. John’s School. This group worked together so well & accomplished the job efficiently with a smile and lots of laughter along the way! We are so thankful to be serving the Lord with such an incredible group!

What a wonderful day it was! The team pushed through the best and finished up the last of our projects for the week. The team pulled weeds & planted new flowers in the courtyard. It is such a blessing to work alongside so many eager individuals!

On our last night of service projects, our new friends at St. Johns prepared a FANTASTIC meal for our team. Pastor Perry, his wife, Susan, Alida, her husband John, and their son, Anders, have been incredible to our group. They all made us feel at home here in New Orleans. We love and will miss our “church away from home” dearly.
