Kochenderfer UMC

We made it! We are working with a group from Arizona and waiting on the last group from Montana to get here this evening. Church this morning was wonderful. Our host church, First Baptist Russellville, has been extremely welcoming. We are looking forward to spending more time with them later this week.

We spent time after church checking out our worksites for the week. We will be cleaning out everything stored in this room before building showers at the youth center for future mission teams as well as retreats the center will do with the kids they serve.

Our new friends from Montana helped clear out all of the things that have been stored in the teen center to make room to build the showers and bunk rooms. We made it fun together!

We had the privilege of helping some of the teenagers on the team serving with us learn to use power tools for the first time, including one whose dream is to one day flip houses!

A big part of the experience this week was helping the kids learn how to do the tasks involved with building. It was fun to see the joy on their faces as they served.

Wednesday night our host church, First Baptist Russellville, provided an amazing dinner for us. What a blessing it was to fellowship and worship together with them!
