The team has arrived safely. We had delicious bar b que, visited a local orphanage and then settled into our lodging facility. We look forward to church services tomorrow and a visit to a different orphanage.

Sunday morning we attended Sunday school and service at the church we are working with this week! We lead the service!! Everyone sang in the service and Sarah had a solo! We also did a dance! We then laid hands on the pastor and two teens gave their testimonies.

Sunday evening we went back to the church for another service lead by our group! We sang, shared testimonies and prayed for the church and its members!

This morning we ate breakfast at the hotel and then went to the youth hostel. Our two groups came together and shared a wonderful worship service! There was singing, skits, and a message brought by Alan! The Holy Spirit was definitely present this morning!! After worship we played sports and hung out with the youth who live there!! So far it has been an AMAZING day!!

This afternoon we visited an orphanage! We played basketball and football with the children who lived there. We also brought bubbles for the kids to play with and they loved them!!

Tuesday morning we hiked a mile up a hill to see the Mayan site called Xunantunich! It was a lot of fun, but pretty hard work! After we reached the site we climbed the temples.

Yesterday we had the opportunity to lead a ministry in the market place!! We sang, did dramas, and prayed for people in the area! It was a very moving ministry.

We held a youth service with the Maya Mopan Nazarene Church on a soccer field last night! We worked with World Harvest Church to put on the service! At the end of the service we prayed for the people in the area and there was a call to accept Christ. Many children came forward!

This morning we went to visit the Youth Cadet campus. The Youth Cadets are training for the military. We had a worship service that included dramas, dances, and lessons. At the end of the service there was a call to accept Christ and many of the boys came forward to accept Him! The group prayed with the boys who came forward! After the worship we played basketball!

The girls from our group visited a home for abused girls. There are currently eighteen girls and three young boys living at the home! It is a very nice facility. Our team helped the school age girls with homework and led some crafts! We also had a short devotion brought to us by Bri.

We had an oppurtunity to lead service Wednesday night. We sang, shared testimonies, and prayed for the people of the church.

This morning we had the opportunity to visit with people in the neighborhood where we served. We heard a lot of amazing life stories and were invited to pray with many families. As we walked around we tried mangos, coconut water, and Dakota got to help make tortillas!! After evangelism we headed to the church to say our final goodbyes. We blessed the church with sports equipment and many pairs of new shoes! It was so hard to leave.

Thursday afternoon we visited King’s Orphanage! The kids were so loving and playful! Some of the girls did face painting while the guys played sports. We left behind all of our craft supplies and candy for the kids who live there.
