Good Shepherd United Methodist Church

We were so glad to have arrived in Jackson last night. After a delicious Italian dinner, we made it to our lodging site for the week. We feel honored to be staying at this beautiful house that is going to be used for such amazing purposes soon!

We spent much of our morning sorting through bags and bags of donated clothes. These clothes are going to be for the women who are entering this home seeking refuge and life change. 

This afternoon we went to the Perkins Foundation for VBS with the kids there. We enjoyed getting to share with them and then spending time playing and chatting as well!

This morning we assisted Hilltop Church in their weekly food distribution. It was so cool to partner with Hilltop, CareCenter Ministries, and another local ministry to serve the families of Jackson!

First, we unloaded tons of donated food. Then we distributed them into boxes. Once the cars started coming to receive the food, we were also able to deliver prayer. It was such a powerful experience!

We spent our last afternoon at the Perkins Foundation sharing in small groups with the kids. We've loved getting to know them on a deeper level through our Bible study. 

We've also really loved playing with them outside!

We are thankful for the relationships we've built with our friends at at Hilltop Church!

For our final day in Jackson, we got to go roller-skating with our new friends from the Perkins Foundation. It has been a pleasure getting to see this city and to serve the people of Jackson this week! 

In the afternoon we also got to explore the city and go kayaking!
