We made it! Three of the four leaders made it to the NC coast today. We got to check our Lake Waccamaw and meet with two of our partners about serving alongside them in Columbus County. The need is great here, and the churches and non profits are working to meet physical and spiritual needs and are excited to being teams alongside as they serve.
After our meeting we got to talk more about PPM, our heart for missions, and how each of us got to our place in ministry.
It was a great day and we Are excited to meet more partners and share more about ministry in NC!

Yesterday we had the opportunity to join Whiteville UMC for wonderful church service. As we sat in the pews, hearing the message about the Kingdom of God, we were encouraged to continue to walk through this door God had opened- the mission that God has called us to. The Kingdom is here, and we are called to expand His kingdom In the here and now.
After church we had a meeting with Pastor Mike at Winterpark Baptist- one of our first partners and primary lodging partner in the Wilmington area. We heard about the ministries they are involved with, like helping people without homes as they transition out of the hospital. They serve a refugee family and work with various other ministries in their community.
We are excited to continue to work alongside these partners this year as they continue to minister!

We spent the morning at Community CPR (Connecting people with resources). We met the amazing staff who take time to hear community members' needs, offer what they are able from their ministry, and point them in the direction of others who can help as well. As one staff put it, "we want everyone who comes through here to leave feeling hope." Faith in action today looked like sorting and organizing toiletries.
