Bethel Baptist Youth

After two long days of travel, our group has arrived at Graham Memorial Church in Whitesburg, KY! We are excited to worship tomorrow and get ready for VBS after some much-needed rest. 

Today our team got to have a Community Youth worship service at Fish Pond Lake in Whitesburg. Pastor Aaron gave a message about the reality of Christ and His sacrifice for us. We also were able to skip some rocks on the lake!

Last night we were able to teach some Vacation Bible School songs and dances for the community kids!

After a great day of work (and play!), Juanita, a member of Graham Memorial, brought us to a lookout! It was a beautiful view to take in as we talked about how we've seen God move this week and about how to love others as Jesus loves us.

And now, it's time for another day of work!

Today, we got to go to Farmer Bennett's again! He worked us hard and had us planting everything from squash and carrots to watermelon and corn. Plus, he showed us his coal mining equipment and let us eat some strawberries!!

For the third day in a row, Cane's Kitchen graciously served us a hot (and delicious) Southern style breakfast! And on the way in, God once again woke us up to a beautiful mountain fog.

A great start to a great day!

Some of our team bonding time last night involved dancing to some of our favorite Disney movies!

After an incredible week with some incredible people, it is time to say goodbye. This team blessed us and this community tremendously this week. As much as we loved to host them, I’m sure there are some family members excited for them to be home. Bethel Baptist Church is on their way to Colorado!
