Abiding Hope Church

We have arrived safely 5o Moundsville,  West Virginia. We are already working as a team!

We had a wonderful time together in worship.

We had a wonderful first day of work, we had a little break down with our roller but we got it fixed quickly because we worked as a team. We spent the day sorting clothes, and washing down tables and chairs. 

Part of our group started the rebuild of a deck for a local family. We got a great start today and look forward to completing it this week

Today, we went to Simpson United Methodist Church and cleaned both the sanctuary and nursery.  We had a great time, and one of us even learned to use the vacuum for the first time. 

Part of our team started to lay a new floor for this sweet lady and her doggy!  We will be able to complete the floor project tomorrow!

After a long day of hard work, we got to relax and have fun together with some evening karaoke. 

We spent the morning sorting clothes. We were running out of space, luckily Braeden took one for the team and let us hang extra clothes on him! 

We spent the day making the church grounds more appealing. We bonded with Father throughout working. We removed weeds, trimmed hedges, and mulched several areas. We enjoyed our time outside and enjoyed getting to know each other.

Today we were able to finish the floor project.  We will be sad that we won't get to be with Mrs. Charlotte anymore this week!

Tonight, we went to River Front Park to play Capture theFlag and just soend time together.

This morning,  we removed a cage full of metal and loaded it onto a truck.  We even made sure all of it fit into the truck and worked as a team. 

We are putting the finishing touches on a deck today! What a great week! It was awesome to see how it all came together!

We put the finishing touches on the deck project and even had time to unload 4 truckloads of topsoil to give the kids a yard to play in.

For a special treat, we walked to Nana's  for ice cream.  We had a great time talking and enjoying ice cream.

Today we worked hard with Shepherd’s Pantry to distribute food, clothes, and toiletries to those who needed it in the community. A big thanks to Patty, James, Kris, Jim, Sheryl, and the rest of the dedicated volunteers for giving us the opportunity to serve alongside them.

This morning,  we had a terrific time with Mario, Chris, and the gang at Shepherd 's Pantry. We sorted clothes and made bags for families. We also were able to get yo know them

We continued to work at painting the bathrooms here at St. Xavier’s. Don’t let the serious faces fool you- they are eager to serve!

Today we had the opportunity to go to Simpson United Methodist Church and help serve the community members that came in lunch.  We also helped organize their shelves making it easier to find food items needed to prepare meals.

We are on our way home, and excited to see what God is going to do in our lives.
