The Pelican staff is ready to serve alongside two amazing churches that have became one!  Let’s lift up God together this week.

Abundant Life is in Costa Rica safe and ready for an incredible week of service! 

Beautiful skies and hospitable people received us on the first afternoon in Costa Rica.  Youth ministry in the local church has grown so much since we where here last year.  It’s amazing to see familiar faces and new faces too!  Praise God! 

If there where any borders left in our lives, the powerful prayer with the youth last night tore them all down in the name of Jesus!  When we pray as one body in Christ, we are not only blessed but we also bring down every border (language barriers, culture difference, sickness, tiredness, emotions)  that may be affecting our lives. 

Sunday sounds like an amazing day to share it with our brothers and sisters from the church in San Rafael, Zuriel church.  The service was a blessing for us and also for the congregation as Pastor Devin brought a great word from God.

After the service, we spent time with Pastor Adolfo and Félix, a leader from the church.  Listening to all the great things God has done was inspiring. 

We prepared for the week beginning with 20 bags filled with groceries.  This means that God is going to surprise 20 families with not only a gift from Him, but also with His word. We are so blessed to be able to do this.

Angel shared the word tonight and challenged the Church to step out in faith so the Lord can do great things with them.  Glory to God! 

We had a full work morning at Pastors house mixing cement, rocks, and sand. Team work makes great results! 

While walking around the neighborhood of San Rafael to deliver bags with groceries, we met Gina, Antonio and their daughter Daniela.  We had the chance to pray over Antonio and his back which was injured in a car accident.  We believe that where there are two or more are gathered in His name, there He is to heal and to set free! 

We spent an amazing afternoon with over 60 kids from the community! Yes, 60 kids plus parents that came over to have fun and to hear God’s word.  Judah and Lydia did an amazing job sharing Bible stories with the kids.

While we where playing with the kiddos in the soccer field, Sofía, Astri, Adriana and Kerli were playing with a frisbee but it got stuck in a tree.  Pastor Deivin came to help and got back down for them!  Service also comes by doing the little things in life. 

“How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.”  Romans 10:15 (NIV) 

Big or small; everyone is useful in the Kingdom of God

We have been blessed to see our young members teach the kids. Aviell shared the story of Moses and how the people from Israel had to trust and obey him to be able to walk through the Red Sea. 

Getting close to the end of kids ministry,  some of team members were asked to take a picture with the kids. It’s great to see how many lives have been impacted this week! Recieve all the Glory Son of God!!

We had a wonderful time spoiling all the women who attended last night for our Women’s Tea!  Massages, nail polish and a wonderful word were included!  Oh, and a delicious tea & coffee time! 

We did a skit for the women.  It was a fun time for them to laugh a little.  Even the little ones around enjoyed it!

We started with the Lord’s strength and joy put in our hearts this morning. Construction time this morning was great! 

On our last day of ministry we finished giving out all the bags of groceries.  We have truly learned what Jesus said: “It is more blessed to give than receive.”  Acts 20:35

Our last afternoon with these warm hearts was very special.  They learned how Jesus started a team long time ago with the 12 disciples.  Those 12 men represented HIM on this earth.  And still now we are part of this team. Many of the children accepted to be part from TEAM OF JESUS.  Glory to God! 

A beautiful night we spent with over 100 people that joined us for a movie night at the local church.  We saw the movie “Facing the Giants.”  It has a great message for everyone to relate to.  And a movie is not complete without the refreshments!

Today we took to the skies to see Costa Rica from a new point of view!   We had an amazing day zip-lining, horseback riding, and seeing the beautiful beach.  What a fun day enjoying Costa Rica!

As we came to church for the last time this week, Pastor Adolfo surprised us with the house we have been working on already having electricity!  It was a beautiful surprise for us.  It gives us hope that the Lords plans are been accomplished.
