Plainville Wrentham Catholic Collaborative

Straight from the get go we were hard at work! We split up and went to three houses today. Our projects included flooring, drywall, and cabinet installation. At every house we got a lot done in the Texas heat and learned some new skills.

The flooring team is making good progress today! 

Our crew this week got a chance to speak to one of the homeowners. After hearing his story, the volunteers were reminded of a very real truth: we aren’t just rebuilding houses, we’re also rebuilding homes. 

Starting day 3 with lots of smiles and laughs.

This week Abby and Braedyn had the goal of texturing the master bedroom. To reach this goal, they had to finish taping, mudding, and sanding. Their determination brought their goal to completion.  

The crew ran into a slight problem today—after nearly finishing the dining room, we found a damaged plank installed halfway through the room. That didn’t stop us for long, and after receiving help from our newest coworker, the dining room was finished and the living room started!
