And the clinics continue...

by team | July 7, 2011 6:51 AM

Tuesday and Wednesday seem to have flown by and we can't believe the last day of clinics is already upon us! On Tuesday, we drove 15 minutes to the nearby town of San Jose. The school let us completely take over and set up our clinics. Although it rained for the majority of the day, people came out of the woodwork to be seen by our doctors and dentists. We enjoyed pinadas for lunch; prepared for and given as a gift from the community. Wednesday took us to the northern town of Libertad. The community center was generous enough to host us. Thanks to the rain staying away until the very end of the day, we were able to see the most people yet! It was hot in the clinics and we were exhausted by the end of the day. We celebrated such a busy day by dining at a Caribbean seaside resort and enjoying the breeze off the ocean. Mexico was only 6 miles to our north. Today brings us to the community of Sarteneja. We are excited to serve the people living there and the 4 surrounding villages. Please continue to pray for our energy levels and that God brings exactly the right people to these clinics.

You all look great! Busy, too. I am thinking about you and praying for each and every one of you. Can't wait to hear more about the mission when you all get home. God Bless you in all that you do. Love and Peace....DEB

God is good. All of our luggage arrived on our plane. The team worked hard Saturday afternoon to sort the supplies into dental, medial and vision areas. We were told the lines will be long o Monday to see us. This morning we are headed to church service then off to see a ruin before we have dinner.
