On September 28, 2022, Hurricane Ian made landfall in Florida as a category 4 storm and has caused widespread and significant damage. The torrential winds and rainfall have caused flooding and devastation across much of the southern part of the state. Prior to hitting Florida, the storm passed over Cuba as a category 3, causing power outages and damage across the western part of the country.

We have been in constant and direct communication with our partners and staff who were impacted and will update this page as they evaluate the aftermath and effect on their communities.

Please join us in praying for the safety of the people in Cuba and Florida and that necessary resources can make it to affected communities quickly.

Since September we have been mobilizing teams from PPM Disaster Response to Florida to deliver needed supplies, labor and encouragement. We are currently expecting to bring over 1,000 volunteers in 2023 - over 37,000 labor hours! This will help us to serve many of the 35,000 homeowners whose homes were either damaged or destroyed.
