The team began another day of ministry by walking through the community of Northview Heights meeting with people, getting to know more about the area and offering to pray with whoever accepted the invitation. The students were bold and prayed unashamedly in the name of Jesus. Team member Jonah Davis was grateful to share his thoughts on how he saw God move today.
“Today I prayed for a Muslim man. I hadn’t realized that he was a Muslim until Kyrie told me. I had a strong feeling that I needed to pray for him. At first, he didn’t understand that I was asking if I could pray with him because he didn’t know much English. Eventually, I explained that I wanted to pray for him with hand signals. So I started praying with him and began my prayer with, “Dear Jesus”.
He was thankful that I had stopped to pray with him and he didn’t stop me when I started praying to God. I felt extremely successful and happy after praying for him. That was probably the most important moment for me today”.
