The day began with a cool Jamaican rain, while the group happily slept in their comfortable beds. The group ate a breakfast of warm pancakes, eggs, and peppers. The group then traveled to The Church of God of Prophecy for their Sunday school and morning service at 10am. The Sunday School lesson taught of pride, humbling, and love. The morning service was filled with lots of dancing, singing, fellowship, annoiting one another with oil, and praise. It was awesome to see God's love stretched beyond the boundaries of the United States. The Holy Spirit was very present at the church. The church kindly provided lunch for the group which consisted of chicken, rice and beans, and pasta. There was a fruitcake for dessert. After the church service, the group left to visit Falmouth Infirmary, where the group sat with patients, read the Bible, and prayed with the members there. Even the members of the group that were uncomfortable reached out and interacted with the patients at the infirmary; they were willing to sit with those that needed it. After the visit at the infirmary, the group went back to the base house and had a dinner of chicken, fish, rice, beans, coleslaw, and sworel (a holiday drink). The group attended a New Year's Eve Service at 10pm at The Church of God of Prophecy again to ring in the New Year of 2018.
