PPM Disaster Response: Massachusetts Flooding
On Tuesday(9/12) Massachusetts' Governor Maura Healey declared a State of Emergency for catastrophic flooding. The town of North Attleborough saw the brunt of the flooding, causing damage to nearly 200 homes. By God's grace, no loss of life has been reported at this time. One of the biggest fears at the moment is of infrastructure failure caused by more rain as Hurricane Lee passes by the state. Residents near the Barrett Park Pond Dam have been evacuated as officials are worried the dam may burst. Please join us in prayer for the people affected by these floods. Pray that the outer rain bands from Hurricane Lee don't cause additional damage, and pray for strength and safety to all the first responders. At this time, PPM is monitoring our partners in the area to see how we might be able to assist. Please continue to check here for ways you may be able to assist.
