PPM Disaster Response: Afghanistan Earthquake
Over the weekend earthquakes stuck western Afghanistan leveling villages and leading to mass casualties. Current reports put the death toll from the initial quakes at 2,000. Throughout the earlier part of this week more quakes have continued throughout Afghanistan leading to further infrastructure collapse. Aid and charity organization responding have noted these earthquakes are further exasperating an already desperate situation for many Afghani's. Food, water, and medical supplies were already in short supply and there is a fear the dislocated people could face starvation. Please join us in praying for those affected and that aid can flow in easily to the affected areas. We will continue to post updates here as we get more information from our other disaster response partners.
