Community Worship Fellowship Youth Group

Meet our local leaders for the week, they were waiting for us at the airport. We are glad to have new friends and be able to serve together this week. 

After a day of traveling, we finally made it to Costa Rica. Everyone is doing good and excited for the day we have ahead of us tomorrow. We will be going to our host church and worshipping the Lord with our brothers and sisters in Costa Rica.

We are so excited to be here at church! After breakfast and worship rehearsal we're more than ready to meet the community and have service together.

We got to worship Jesus both in English and Spanish as one body in Christ for Sunday service. What an amazing time to rejoice in Him!

We had the privilege to share some testimonies with the congregation to show them how God has transformed our lives and led us to places and people we would never imagine. 

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Jeremiah 29:11

Part of the group went to the supermarket to buy all the supplies for food distribution ministry that will happen during the next three days. We pray that God blesses all those supplies and that they will be a great help and blessing for the families that will receive them. 

Pastor Edgar and Pastora Maribel have been amazing hosts, and we had an awesome time hearing their story and testimony, and about how they started their ministry from scratch.

What an emotional morning we had! God definitely showed us His power, love, and care for us. The people's stories and their open arms for us filled our hearts.

We loved praying over people and being God's hands and feet. We pray He continues to use and humble us this week.

It was so delightful to see our families sharing with the elders, adults, and kids - playing stop and making music together, and just enjoying each other's company.

Today we had tie dye shirts prepared for the kids, and even though we started with a few, many more children kept coming and coming!

We played with parachutes with children who came today, and it was a lot of fun! It's awesome how communication gets so much easier when we are enjoying activities so much together.

We pray God keeps these kids in His hands always and that they grow up believing in His name.

We love how God has led us to focus on sharing with the families and praying with them in addition to giving them bags of food. We've been able to hear their stories and pray for them more intentionally as we spend quality time with them.

We got to do a craft with the kids and give them the tie dye shirts they made the day before.

The elderly built and painted bird houses to take home and received attention and care from the team!

We also trimmed the elderly's hair and gave them some special treatments. We felt so honored to serve them and get them even more beautiful and handsome!!

Sometimes the only thing people need is a prayer and to be heard to put a big smile on their faces. 

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

We've been so blessed by the cooks this week, so we tried to bless them as well by praying for them. Pastor Edgar also decided to honor their hard work by giving them a bag of food,  we prayed that it would provide and feed their families.

We had a fun day in beautiful Tamarindo beach. After a week of service, it's time to rest and relax!

What a week! God allowed us to share with the church and share and support Pastor's vision. We believe this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship that comes from God.
