We enjoyed the Easter message today at Waipuna Chapel. Jesus is risen!  Death has been conquered. Rejoice!  

This afternoon we spent some time remembering those who lost their life in the Lahaina fires and praying for those in mourning.  We prayed for the displaced people and those that are distraught.  Jesus came to bring hope.

The weather this afternoon was great as we explored Lao Valley State Monument. God's Creation here on Maui is breathtaking! 

After hearing about the fires in Kula and the families that lost their homes explained to us by the Kula Watershed Alliance, we set to work on clearing land and keeping the soil in place. We work on the side of Haleakala mountain on steep terrain but so happy to know that our efforts will help during the rainy season. 

The Lord calls those willing to serve. There is no age limit:  the weak to confound the worldly wise. 

Today we had the opportunity to share our faith at a local park in Kihei. Kyle, a Pastor from New Hope Maui, challenged us to be bold in our witness as we talked with locals. We had some amazing God moments with people we encountered. 

In the afternoon we were led on a prayer walk by Troy from New Hope Maui. We walked and talked with the Lord together, lifting each other up while sharing our needs and the needs of our family and friends.  This conversation and prayer was done in small groups of 3 while surrounded by Maui's beauty declaring God's glory.
