We spent the morning walking through a neighborhood and posting fliers for a new church plant called The Bridge that starts up in a couple months. Pastor Fred TenEyck and his wife Aretha are working hard to get involved in the community and make an impact for Christ. If you want to see what they’re up to, you can visit thebridgenw.org!

Partnering with We Heart Seattle, a local organization committed to empowering the community through public service projects, the team helped cleanup and beautify a public space that was left in disrepair. We Heart Seattle involves community members in beautification projects around the city, ensuring that all can take pride in their city by the work they have done together.

By the end of our time with We Heart Seattle the team collected about 1200 pounds of trash. Before we left the site a gentleman walked up and thanked the group for a job well done, stating that seeing the work we had done encourages him to also contribute to the betterment of his community.
