Sunday afternoon we started prepping the work site for all the projects we are doing. We are at Camp Piiholo painting and working on the bathroom.

Building Project

Today we are building a new bathroom vanity at the camp. The sink in this bathroom has been broken for years and this gives us the opportunity to upgrade and bless this camp.

This morning a few of us got the chance to go prepare an apartment for a family that went through the Maui fires. We cleaned, organized and decorated for the family that should move in soon.

Today we are headed up the mountain to the Kula fire area. We are at a property that was directly in the fire zone. Nick, part of the family that owns the property, is telling us about the fire and how it affected the property and his family.

We finished the day around the campfire. We discussed the day, the work that was done and the awesome ministry that was accomplished.

Olinda Fire Relief

Today we are helping with fire relief on a 40 acre farm in the Olinda area. This farm is where the first fire started on Maui. The fire lasted for 36 hours with pop-up fires continuing for a couple of months. The farm has been owned by the same family for almost 80 years.

More Mulch

This afternoon we went back to the Kula area to help a family spread mulch over the fire damaged area on their property. We loved getting to know the families that we worked with.

The heavy rain didn't stop us for enjoying the beautiful waterfall during our rec day. A few of us even got in the lagoon for a little swimming.

Maui lava tubes

We got to explore some lava tubes. It was really cool to read about how they were formed and all the interesting facts about how the locals have used them over the years.

I got to give ppm Alaska team this has been the craziest winter that I’ve seen in years this is not normal let me put it this way last winter we got 108.5 this winter we’re @ 104.5 we need 30 inches of snow to break the winter get ready to see a lot more snow compare to years past
