We Made It!

It was an extremely long day of travel, not arriving to our host church until after 2 AM Alaska time. But believe it or not, we could actually see for half of our 4 Hour drive well into the night because they have nearly 18 1/2 hours of daylight up here right now. We had a wonderful time of worship with our host Church and we look forward to serving together this week as they do an excellent job serving their community.

We are serving in a very beautiful location for a sister church-North Star UMC, in Nikiski, Alaska. They are such an active church in their community. They have a food pantry and work very closely with a local shelter and all of their members are actively participating in serving others every single week. We’re so excited to partner alongside them.

We’re excited to serve at a very large local food bank here on the Kenai Peninsula. They feed thousands of people and we’re helping set up a new greenhouse with raised beds as we add topsoil.

Starbucks has donated mini bags of coffee-whole bean that we are grinding up for the clients of the food bank. It’s funny that we grind up really good coffee beans and put it into Folgers containers. What a surprise when they brew it!
