Trinity Lutheran Church

Meet Mikey and Sammy, our PPM leaders from Costa Rica. They are very excited to work with Trinity Lutheran Church and will guide the team throughout the week.

We have arrived safely in Costa Rica and the weather is lovely here. We are thrilled to be in this beautiful country and are looking forward to the week of ministry ahead of us. 

We had an amazing time of fellowship at Iglesia Sin Muros’ in Costa Rica, worshiping together and hearing from Pastor Sergio about integrity.

Sage and Deb had the chance to spend time with the kids in their classrooms. They learned about the importance of patience and trust in God’s plan for our lives. They later shared what they learned in front of the church.

This morning we began our construction project at the church. We mixed concrete to lay down cinder blocks that will be a part of the foundation wall for the kitchen. Despite the heat and exhaustion, we were very determined to finish the work we had planned for today.

We had an incredible time with the children from the nearby school. We played games, colored and spent time with over 40 students. The children were so sweet, and we learned so much from them. Our experience with them was truly enjoyable!

We were able to visit 7 families for food distribution. Sitting down with them and hearing their life stories was an incredible experience. We had the chance to pray for them, and we couldn’t be more thankful to the Lord for our opportunity to cross paths with these wonderful people.

“He heals the brokenhearted and bandages our wounds” Psalms 147:3.

Joel shared his testimony during our men’s night and talked about how God restored him after he came back to Him and how he uses the second chance God has given him to help others.

Today, we had the opportunity to assist the local church with their construction project. Our team helped paint the base of the metal structure, which will support the new kitchen roof. Also, we assisted in cleaning the room where they will be pouring the new kitchen floor.

This afternoon we had a great time at our VBS. We danced, played bingo, painted nails, made some cool crafts and bracelets, and finished off with an enjoyable game of water bombs.

We had the opportunity to share our time with children from a neighboring school in the community. We played games, made crafts, and participated in fun activities. It was a joy to be able to minister to them.

On the final day of ministry, the kitchen had a new look. The church removed and raised the kitchen's roof to increase height and ventilation.
