It's been a long day but we are finally back in Puerto Rico! We are excited to head to our lodging to have dinner and get ready for our big week ahead. We are looking forward to seeing pastor Nilka again.

This morning we are joining the congregation of Iglesia Metodista San Pablo in their worship service. We feel blessed to be able to praise the Lord alongside our brothers and sisters of the church despite the language  difference.

After the church service, we are at the plaza enjoying a cultural festival they have in the community of Barrio Obrero. We are having so much fun stopping by the different vendors and listening to live music.

It's our second day of work and we are getting ready for our ministries. As we are entering the church we are being greeted with love and kindness from pastora. She is now sharing with us how during her time here, there was a moment that she was homeless and how God gave her strength.

The Mesa extendida de Jesus is a ministry that started almost 7 years ago and it has served over 350,000 plates of food. Because of this food ministry they also need to be inspected and we are preparing the dining room and kitchen by painting it so it will be ready for the inspection.

Tonight we have the opportunity to join the prayer service of pastor David's church at Iglesia Metodista Carlos Wesley. We are praying alongside the people of Carlos Wesley for Puerto Rico, for the pastors, for the missionaries and for the week alongside pastora Nilka.

After working at the church, we are enjoying some ice cream and walking around the town of Rio Piedras. Rio Piedras had turned into a ghost town but a group of artists came together to beautify this streets.  We are so happy to get to enjoy this time looking at all of their beautiful pieces.
