Rockpointe Church

We are ready to receive the team. We are so excited to get to know them and serve alongside them. We can’t wait to see what the Lord has for us this week. 

It's been a long day but we are finally back in Puerto Rico! We are excited to head to our lodging to have dinner and get ready for our big week ahead. We are looking forward to seeing pastor Nilka again. 

This morning we are joining the congregation of Iglesia Metodista San Pablo in their worship service. We feel blessed to be able to praise the Lord alongside our brothers and sisters of the church despite the language  difference. 

After the church service, we are at the plaza enjoying a cultural festival they have in the community of Barrio Obrero. We are having so much fun stopping by the different vendors and listening to live music. 

Tonight we are finishing the day with some delicious ice cream. We are so grateful for the day we’ve had and are looking forward to start serving tomorrow. 

This morning after hearing from pastora Nilka, we headed to Vladimiro's house. We are pressure washing, cleaning debris, scraping and painting. We are excited to help and be the hands and feet for Vladimiro in his house.

It's the afternoon, and it's very hot but we are making a lot of progress cleaning up and preparing the house of Vladimiro so we can start painting it tomorrow. 

It's our second day of work and we are getting ready for our ministries. As we are entering the church we are being greeted with love and kindness from pastora. She is now sharing with us how during her time here, there was a moment that she was homeless and how God gave her strength. 

Today we got to Vladimiro's house to paint and he was there today. We got to hear a little bit about his story and prayed for him.

We are painting the house of Vladimiro and we are overjoyed with grace as we help this man with his house. 

The Mesa extendida de Jesus is a ministry that started almost 7 years ago and it has served over 350,000 plates of food. Because of this food ministry they also need to be inspected and we are preparing the dining room and kitchen by painting it so it will be ready for the inspection. 

Tonight we have the opportunity to join the prayer service of pastor David's church at Iglesia Metodista Carlos Wesley. We are praying alongside the people of Carlos Wesley for Puerto Rico, for the pastors, for the missionaries and for the week alongside pastora Nilka.

This morning we are continuing to paint the kitchen of Iglesia Metodista San Pablo. We are so blessed to be helping the church with their upcoming inspection visit so that they can continue doing the wonderful ministry of mesa extendida de Jesus. 

Today we had pizza for lunch. We are also celebrating two church members birthdays. 

After working at the church, we are enjoying some ice cream and walking around the town of Rio Piedras. Rio Piedras had turned into a ghost town but a group of artists came together to beautify this streets.  We are so happy to get to enjoy this time looking at all of their beautiful pieces. 

This morning we are starting the day by praying over Pastora Nilka. We ask God to keep renewing her strengths so she is able to continue doing ministry. 

This afternoon we are at El Yunque National Rainforest. We are having so much fun visiting the different sites. It’s a blessing getting to unwind after a week of service.
