Iglesia de Dios de la Profecía - Indiana

Qué hermoso es poder gozarse haciendo la obra de Dios. no importa las dificultades ni las adversidades, Dios va delante de nosotros. Nos tomó dos horas navegando por el rio Amazonas para llegar hasta la comunidad San juan de Huashalado. 

How beautiful it is to  rejoice by doing God's work. no matter the difficulties or adversities, God goes before us. It took us two hours navigating on the Amazon River to arrive in San Juan de Huashalado village.

Emocionados de poder preparar y compartir las bolsas de alimentos para cada familia. En la comunidad hay 42 familias que serán bendecidas materialmente y espiritualmente. Cada bolsa contiene leche, arroz, aceite, sal, avena, macarrón, fósforos.

Excited to be able to prepare and share the food bags for each family. In the community there are 42 families that will be blessed materially and spiritually. Each bag contains milk, rice, oil, salt, oats, macaroni, matches.

Desde hace mucho que el templo católico estaba abandonado, deteriorado, lleno de moho y convertido en nido de murcielagos. Sin embargo el líder de la iglesia en reunión comunitaria solicitó que le brinden ese lugar para sus reuniones de adoración. Algunos se opusieron pero la mayoria estaba de acuerdo en permitir las reuniones siempre y cuando se hagan reuniones constantes. Los hermanos de la iglesia comenzaron a limpiar, barrer, raspar las paredes, arreglar el techo y pintar las paredes. Aun no habian sillas pero el director del colegio nos dió prestado algunas sillas y de esta manera pudimos hacer las reuniones. Cuando llegamos ya todo estaba siendo preparado para el culto de la noche.

For a long time the Catholic temple was abandoned, deteriorated, full of mold and turned into a nest of bats. However, the leader of the church in a community meeting requested permission to use that place for his worship meetings. Some objected but most agreed to allow meetings as long as there are constant meetings. The brothers from the church began to clean, sweep, scrape the walls, fix the roof and paint the walls. There were no chairs yet, but the principal of the school lent us some chairs and in this way we were able to hold the meetings. When we arrived, everything was already being prepared for the evening service.

Realmente no esparabamos que viniese tanta gente pero al poco a poco comenzaban a venir y llenaron el lugar. juntos oramos, cantamos y escuhamos la palabra de Dios.

We really didn't expect so many people to come but little by little they started coming and filled the place. together we prayed, sang and listened to the word of God.

Al dia siguiente salimos en un solo grupo puerta por puerta compartiendo la palabra de Dios con el fin de llegar a cada poblador. como decimos por ahi.. Si ellos no vienen a la iglesia, la iglesia irá a ellos. Porque sabemos que muchos no vana al templo por sentir culpa o temor de ser rechazados. Por medio de material grafico pudimos compartir el evangelio con tan solo algunas imagenes.

The next day we went door to door in a single group sharing the word of God in order to reach each resident. As we say out there... If they don't come to church, the church will go to them. Because we know that many do not go to the temple because they feel guilty or fear of being rejected. Through graphic material we were able to share the gospel with just a few images.

Además de compartir pequeñas historias biblicas y orar por cada familia pudimos compartir la bendición de los alimentos a cada hogar. Creo que un regalo inesperado puede cambiar el corazón de muchos. Dios es bueno.

In addition to sharing little Bible stories and praying for each family, we were able to share the blessing of food in each home. I believe that an unexpected gift can change the hearts of many. God is good.

Por mucho tiempo hubo algunos desacuerdos entre los lideres de las iglesias antes formadas en estas comunidades que hizo que se distancien y cree una especie de rivalidad. Sin embargo nuestro grupo misionero llegó a saludar al lider de la otra iglesia quien se quedó muy sorprendido por nuestro acto de humildad. lo animamos a seguir adelante trabajando para el Señor. Pudimos expresarle nuestra admiración y buenos deseos hacia él para que continue predicando y le ofrecimos nuestro apoyo para lo que necesite. Somos una familia en Cristo Jesus. El lider se quedó muy agradecido por nuestra visita a su iglesia y por el regalo de la bolsita de alimentos. 

For a long time there were some disagreements between the leaders of the churches previously formed in this village that caused them to distance themselves and create a kind of rivalry. However, our missionary group came to greet the leader of the other church who was very surprised by our act of humility. We encouraged him to continue working for the Lord. We were able to express our admiration and good wishes for him to continue preaching and we offered him our support for whatever he needs. We are a family in Christ Jesus. The leader was very grateful for our visit to his church and for the gift of the food bag.

Finalmente volvemos a nuestros hogares con la satisfacción de haber cumplido a lo que nos llamó el Señor. Esperamos sus oraciones por la iglesia en San Juan de Huashalado. Bendiciones
