Mt. Pisgah Church

We all made it safely to Seattle! We got to explore the public market center right away and eat some dinner. We are so excited to serve this week and see God move in all of us!

This morning we had the chance to make some blessing bags for the community! We even made some sandwiches for the bags and prayed over all of them!

This afternoon we were able to go out into the community and hand out the bags we made earlier. We were able to meet some amazing people! We had the chance to pray over them and hear more about their stories. 

This morning we split into our groups. Group 4 had the chance to go through the women’s clothes and organize them for a give away for people in need of new clothes! 

Group one has also done some cleaning and organizing! They have been helping with the church shed and making everything more accessible for the community 

For lunch today we made burgers and hotdogs for the community. We also had the chance to connect and play games with them! 

This morning a group of us went to Take The Next Step and helped deep clean the building! We made sure to sweep and mop the floors so they are nice and clean and we were able to replace the chairs as well! 

This afternoon a couple of us were able to chop some wood and bring it to a local church! We stacked it all nice and neat and really enjoyed getting to serve together today! 

It rained quite a bit today, as it tends to do here in Washington. But we can't let the rain wash away our ministries and opportunities to serve. We got out there and weeded for a church called Peace Lutheran Church. Pastor Todd was so appreciative of the work the team did to help beautify their church. 

Group 1 got to go make breakfast and eat with the young adults at New Horizons ministries and gave them a taste of that Southern sweet tea!
