The Sunday school we went to this morning was taught by a man of the church who has been teaching Sunday school for 39 years! It’s also been broadcast on the radio for that many years, which is cool to think about because so many other people could be hearing the word of God. During the service, we also got to hear some Kentucky bluegrass — brought to us by the group Redwire Bluegrass. The sermon was about the foreverness of friendship and reminding us that we’ll all be together one day even if we lose touch here on Earth!

Part of our group spent the day at Agape Services. We sorted clothes and lots of food, helped community members shop, spent time in conversation and prayer with the regular volunteers, and even had a yummy homemade lunch. It was a blessing to see how they love and serve their community in so many ways.

One project for today was to clean and organize a warehouse that Post Oak Baptist Church owns and which they share with Life Choices Pregnancy Center. The biggest challenge of the day was figuring out what a bag full of wood and screws was meant to be and to build it successfully without instructions. It ended up being a toddler bed and it was both frustrating and satisfying to construct! Nonetheless we were glad we could help some fellow believers!

For rec day, we got to go swimming in a nearby lake as well as explore Mammoth Cave National Park, but the perfect conclusion to it all was worship night in the church sanctuary. It was really special to be together in the Lord's presence and lift up our voices to him.
