We Arrived!!

by Tori Snyder | March 3, 2024 12:17 AM

Our team has arrived safely in Seattle!!

Tonight we got to settle in, meet our PPM staff & connect with our host pastor Brice of Coastline Church. He gave us a brief overview of his heart for Seattle & some of the ways Coastline is leaning into the Spirit and meeting needs in this community.

We are beyond excited to partner with him & engage in meaningful ways with this city!

Pray for our hearts to be ready & open for all the Lord has for us!! And for Gail as she prepares to preach in the morning!

Gail & our Trip Leader Tori took the gum wall very seriously.

May their gobble gobble chicken art bless all those who come across it.

If you don't know, the gum wall is an iconic spot in Seattle. And our team participated valiantly!!!

New Horizons

by Tori Snyder | March 5, 2024 12:49 AM

After serving breakfast we were given a tour of New Horizons' space!

It was great hearing more about the organizations programs, services and heart. New Horizons helped house over 200 young adults last year. They are jumping into construction next week at their facilities to expand even more and renovate their current space to bring more dignity to the young men and women they serve.

Meeting Physical Needs

by Tori Snyder | March 5, 2024 12:54 AM

New Horizons provides a ton of different resources to the young adults that come through their space on a given day. Their goal is to assist and support those who come through to find housing within 100 days of when they first come. Their success rate is really high, and they give the credit to the Lord!

One of the beautiful things New Horizons does is gift every yound adult who transitions from the shelter into a home with a laundry basket filled with tons of essentials for starting up their new space.

These can be donated by anyone anytime! Pray about how the Lord may be inviting you to take action in how to support organizations near you making an impact. And if you are following along and get to hear from the experiences of our team when we return, ask us how you can donate to New Horizons.

Through his timing, his leadership, his tenderness towards our hearts and stirring our hearts for the spirit He is so good.

The meal we cooked turned out great! Then men were so thankful and we overall had an incredible time serving with the Mission!

by Celia Schwartz | March 5, 2024 1:38 AM

The name of the game today with the crew serving at Coastline was can we make it fit in the truck!

We had a blast tearing about and demoing some of the kitchen at Coastline today! We tore apart sinks, baseboard, shelves and then hauled it all to the dump! It was such a fun and joyous time!

Opportunities to Pray

by Tori Snyder | March 7, 2024 7:12 PM

Our team has taken on the task of praying this week very intentionally and the Lord has been showing up.

We have gotten to pray with men and women working in grocery stores, on our hikes and tons of folks out while doing ministry!

Pray we all have a heart to pray and discern the spirit even as we go back home!

Growing

by Tori Snyder | March 8, 2024 3:03 AM

Getting to tour the women's & children shelter tonight was great!

This mural is a nice imagery of the growth that happens in this space. Seeds are planted and attended to unique to individual needs.  Growth occurs over time and beauty is quickly evident.
