Church & Train Rides!

We started our morning off by attending our partner church’s Sunday morning service! They are currently meeting at the local farmers market and we have the privilege of helping them break ground this week at their new property where they will be building their own building! We had amazing worship & message this morning! After church we got to enjoy lunch and fellowship with the members of the church. We even got to have some fun and ride on the train! We may have been a little too big for it haha!

Encouraging the Local Church!

After church and lunch we got to sit down and work on writing some encouraging cards to the local church, Crossroads, that we are partnering with this week!

Prayer Walk!

After working on the prayer cards we got to go the our worksite where we will begin to break ground so that we can start working on the foundation of Crossroad Church’s new building! It was such a special time being able to pray blessings and safety over this property and everyone who steps foot on it!

Boat & Golf Cart Rides!

One of the members of the church, Mr. Tim, invited us over to his house to ride on his boat! He even had a golf cart that his wife used to take us on rides to see alligators! We had such a good time!

Pool Time!

After we had dinner we got to go to a different member of the church’s house to swim! It was nice to cool down in the water! We are so grateful to serve this community and for how loving and welcoming they have been to us! We are so excited for this week!!

A Quiet Place!

We started our morning off with a devo led by Mr. Paul at our work site. He spoke about how important it is to have a quiet place to spend time with Jesus, he cares so deeply about this. At the church that we’re helping build they will have a prayer garden that’s created so that you can have a quiet place to spend time with Jesus!

We had some extra food from our meals this week, so today we packed up our leftovers and dropped them off to the Angle House here in Whiteville! We’re so glad that it’s not going to waste!

Today is our last day working here and Mr. Paul shared part of his testimony today while sharing a devotional. He also talked about how we all have chains and that God wants to free us from those chains!

While setting up the base of the roof it started pouring down rain! Praise God we were still able to complete the task at hand while getting cooled off by the rain!

Worship & Bible Study!

We had worship, led by Hannah & a Bible study which was led by Pastor Billy tonight! We said our goodbyes to this awesome community and local church! We sure are going to miss them!

Tonight Pastor billy came & taught us a game called “Have you seen my goat?” It was such a fun game and we got to play a few others as well!

Some of us got to see the beach for the first time today! We had fun in the water, looking for shells, throwing a football and frisbee and digging a hole!

After lunch we got to shop a little bit and then go bowling! It was such a fun day!

Headed Home!

We are headed home with full hearts! We got to learn what it truly means to be a servant and how we show Gods love through servant hood! Before leaving North Carolina we got to stop by the worksite that we had been working at all week and take a final picture with all the hard work we did! Thank you Jesus for such a good week!
