Satuday evening, we were so excited to have Pineview arrive from Quitman Georgia at Faith Harbor United Methodist here in Surf City, NC. They were joined by another group from St. Marks United Methodist in Virginia and will be serving alonside them this week. We are so excited to meet with Pastor Phillip and be the Church!

Sunday Service

by Edyn Dekkers | July 3, 2023 2:50 AM

Sunday morning, we all attended Faith Harbor's morning beach service. It was so beautiful to be surrounded by creation glorifying God as we heard His Word. Afterwards, we attended the regular service at the church building. A double dose of the Word - thank you, Jesus!

Sunday Food Ministry

by Edyn Dekkers | July 3, 2023 2:53 AM

Sunday afternoon, we grabbed some supplies for making 85 meals of spaghetti and garlic bread for the Share the Table food ministry. Some of us started cooking and others wrote notes of encouragement to go with the food. We are greatful for the opportunity to help be a blessing to this ministry!

Working on the Walkway

by Edyn Dekkers | July 3, 2023 10:13 AM

After breakfast and devotions this morning, we got to work painting, removing kitchen cabinets, and prying up the walkway outside the church. It's not even noon, and already, we have come so far! Praise the Lord!

Kitchen Work

by Edyn Dekkers | July 3, 2023 10:34 AM

We got cracking on the kitchen right away this morning! After emptying out all of the cabinets, we began the process of uninstalling them and moving them out of the room. We are excited to see the impact this has on our partner church!

Ice Cold Floor

by Edyn Dekkers | July 3, 2023 12:55 PM

Apparently, there's no better way to cool off after working outside than by flopping down on the floor. "Don't worry, I do this all the time!"

Shocking Progress

by Edyn Dekkers | July 3, 2023 2:22 PM

Already this afternoon so many of the kitchen cabinets have been taken out. What a transformation!

The old walkway has been completely ripped out! Next up is removing all the dirt underneath. These are some phenomenal hard workers!

Sitting on the Bridge

by Edyn Dekkers | July 4, 2023 5:54 AM

Last night, after the work was done and the last slice of pizza disappeared, we all gathered together and began walking from the church to the nearby bridge overlooking the bay. As we waited for the fireworks to start, we enjoyed the beautiful sunset and sang a song or two (sorta)!

Fireworks!

by Edyn Dekkers | July 4, 2023 6:00 AM

The firework show was a good time for everyone! It was finally cooling off outside so the weather was pleasant, and where we were wasn't too crowded despite the holiday. Seeing the fireworks shot over the bay was a great way to spend the evening!

Hard at Work Once Again

by Edyn Dekkers | July 4, 2023 12:44 PM

It seems like we were up with the sun on this fine 4th of July, digging in the dirt outside and sanding down the kitchen walls inside. It's incredible to see all the work that has already gotten done!

More Cabinets

by Edyn Dekkers | July 4, 2023 1:42 PM

The cabinets in the kitchen are being reinstalled in the new addition of the church in what is intended to be a classroom. The project has gone quite smoothly so far, much to everyone's delight!

Setting a Good Example

by Edyn Dekkers | July 4, 2023 1:55 PM

It has been such a treat to see the leaders setting such a good example of how to work as if working for the Lord for the younger generation!

The Rain Came Down

by Edyn Dekkers | July 5, 2023 9:36 AM

Last night Surf City was blessed by a good amount of rain, which filled our freshly finished ditch. Not to worry though! We started our morning by digging a trench and scooping out buckets of water to get our ditch back to normal!

Romping Around in the Mud

by Edyn Dekkers | July 5, 2023 9:48 AM

Don't be fooled, we know how to make our work feel like play! And working out in the mud can be a good time, especially according to Julie!

Morning Communion

by Edyn Dekkers | July 5, 2023 9:53 AM

It was such a blessing to be able to partake in communion led by Pastor Phillip and alongside some of our Faith Harbor brothers and sisters this morning. We also had prayer and response time as well as worship. Praise God!

Hacking Away

by Edyn Dekkers | July 5, 2023 4:12 PM

So many projects have been happening around the church that it is hard to keep track of it all! It has been fun to be able to test our handiwork with the various tools required for these projects.

TESTIMONY ON HOW I GOT CURED TOTALLY FROM HERPES VIRUS BY DR ODIGIE HERBS I want to inform the public how I was cured of herpes Virus by a Doctor called Dr ODIGIE. I visited different hospitals but they gave me a list of drugs like Famvir, Zovirax, and Valtrex which are very expensive to treat the symptoms and never cured me. I was browsing through the Internet searching for remedies on Herpes and I saw comments of people talking about how Doctor odigie cured them. I Was scared because I never believed in the Internet but I was convinced to give him a try because I had no hope of being cured of herpes so I decided to contact him on his email, i searched his email on the net and I saw a lot of people testifying about his goodness. When I contacted him he gave me hope and sent a Herbal medicine to me that I took and it seriously worked for me, am a free person now without any problems, my HERPES result came out negative. You can contact him on his email: ([email protected]) +2347049458624
