Emmanuel Reformed Church

We arrived at our host church this afternoon. We can’t wait to begin serving the community and being the hands and feet of God. We are excited to see how God is going to work in and through us this week. 

This morning we got to start working on our first service project. We painted our host church. We got the opportunity to spend time with one another and talk about how we already saw where God was using our gifts! 

We started our second day with prayer then we moved into our next work project! We helped our partner move all of her valuables from one shed to another. We all worked together to get it done effectively and efficiently. 

We made it to our third work site! We had the opportunity to help with hurricane relief by covering a roof that was blown off during the hurricane. 

As we continued to serve we started to trim bushes and clean up our partners yard! We got to bond and see how each of us had a different gift God was using to get the job done. 

We started our morning in the food pantry! We are preparing food today so that it can be served to the community tomorrow. We had the great idea to create an assembly line so that we could get the food from one end to another. 

Our host church has a rock garden and we got to paint rocks to add to their garden! We all got to spend time together and continue to build community. 

We ended our day by having an evening meeting. We had a devotional and a moment of prayer. 

It’s our last work day and we’re trimming trees and bushes. It is bittersweet for it to come to an end but we know God moved mountains this week!
