In Focus Church

In Focus began their day early in Georgia and have arrived in Memphis for another powerful week of ministry! 

Can't wait to see how God will use this team this week as they serve with and through Monument of Love

Monument of Love showed gratitude for Pastor Joyce. Wonderful Praise and Worship Service and reception. 

Our worship leader this morning was fantastic!

We were so glad to give praise to our Creator and Savior together 

This afternoon we went out to pray for neighbors in the community around the church.

The team boldly prayed with people and over homes.

Tonight we had the honor of celebrating with Pastor Joyce as his Aunt Wendy Moten received a brass note from the Beale Street Walk of Fame! 

Wendy was the runner up on Season 21 of The Voice!

The celebration and Dinner was at Rum Boogie. We had a great time! 

And that's a wrap for Day 1! 

Thomas and Marc led the morning Devotions about Abraham and saying yes to stepping out to follow God. 

In Focus is an authentic service and partner minded team. Today they served Limit Breaker Church by cleaning and did the job with a smile even when it was cold. 

We served at the Food Bank at Limit Breaker. We were able to encourage the workers and hear their vision for helping and serving the need for physical and spiritual food in their community.

Jasmine kept getting in trouble for lifting boxes with baby on board.

In Focus cleaned the church with overflowing joy! They all shared tonight that they felt like they were cleaning their home. 

They did a really great job allowing Monument of Love to minister to more people.

Rachel worked hard in-between documenting the trip. 

At Memphis Athletic Ministries, the team served the students a hotdog meal and played sports and games with this amazing partner program. 

Many said this was their favorite so far. 

Jerjuanna who works for MAM started her testimony with us and we were all so blessed! 

Each night the team debriefs. Sharing Joys, Junk and Jesus ! 

Today, the women went to the Dorothy Day House and were divided into 2 groups to serve 2 different houses. They deep cleaned the houses in which families live short-term. Such a simple act of cleaning and arranging a room left an impressive mark on the house hosts and the residents.

Today at Mr. David's house, the men of InFocus were invited to clean his yard. Mr. David is 80y/o and doesn't trust people due to past issues, but due to our partnership with CareCenter Memphis, Charles Lott (director) got permission from him to assist in clearing the yard. Mr. David was pleased and shared his pleasure. It's all relational! 

The InFocus Team traveled to Little Rock, AR for their Rec Day. In Little Rock, is the historical Central High School where 9 students were to integrate into the school. They visited the Visitor Center/Museum, the High School and the statue plaza. 

InFocus spent their final day in Downtown Memphis at the National Civil Rights Museum; enjoyed lunch at Central BBQ; had a treat of cookies at Butteriffic Bakery; and prayed on the site of the 1866 Memphis Massacre. 

InFocus wrapped up their week of serving by enjoying their last breakfast at Monument of Love Baptist Church. Farewell...until April 2024!
