Westwood Church

After seeing the houses and getting some grub, the group is all nestled in for devo. 

The rain’s holding off and we’re pulling walls down! Jiving to some ABBA and putting in the work 👷‍♀️🔨

Ethyn is smiling ear to ear about his floor work! Nothing more fun than pulling up pipes and particle board?

Today a group of us got to demo a ceiling and begin demo on the floor. We took it slow using plywood on the studs to get the ceiling out! 

Our group was in charge of breakfast this morning and the pancake crew became a well oiled machine! 

Today part of our group finished tearing out floors in one of the houses. The girls in our group did a fantastic job using their strength to get the floors out! 

After a long day, we’re sitting down to hear from Pastor Steve, the story of Anthem Church, and more about Hurricane Ian. 

The team found some extra fishing poles in the ceiling and fished a balloon out of the river with it! After eating some lunch and seeing a manatee, the team is getting after it for one last push! 

Wednesday the girls got after it again by pulling out insulation and anything else they found under the floor. They killed it and had a great time jamming to music and working hard! 

Thursday morning we split into groups and worked at Coachlight and Anthem Church. We were able to finish one more house at Coachlight! 

The team headed to the beach after a strong week at Coach Light Manor! Some of the guys left the church this morning in fashion. 

The team volunteered to do a half day of work on their schedule rec day! Shoutout to all of those who helped at the church to clean up the landscaping :)
