Westlake Hills Pres. Church

We had a great time worshiping with our brothers and sisters at St Andrew's Presbyterian. 

After the service, the church treated us to a wonderful lunch. 

We enjoyed getting to know some people, including Mrs. Cooper whose house we are going to be working on. 

We look forward to a great week of service! 

After our time of fellowship, the church took us to a trampoline park to burn off some energy. 

Praise the Lord no one got hurt. 

After the church service, Mrs Cooper took us to the center where we are going to help with food distribution tomorrow. 

We look forward to serving all the people that will be coming to get food. 

Our main project this week is to help Mrs. Faye with various projects in her house. The house sustained great damage during hurricane Ida, about three years ago. 

Thankfully, she got a new roof, but there are many things inside that house from the hurricane that need to be taken care of. 

Not too long ago, there was an uncommon drive by shooting in the area, which left her house with many bullet holes in her walls. She also had termites at some point, which left their aftermath as well. 

We are doing a lot of minor repairs both inside and outside the house. We are painting, fixing holes in the walls, replacing rotten boards...etc.

We are glad that we can participate in making Mrs. Faye's house a place she can rest and relax in. 

Grant is working his magic with the AC unit, replacing an old one with a brand new one.

The food bank/clothing center crew hit it hard again this morning. They helped bag food, reorganized the closet, filled a dumpster, to name a few. 

So glad to be a part of this ministry! 

We found our change of clothes for the day. 

We hope that babies are blessed with those pieces of clothing. 

Each night, our PPM leaders, Al and Craig lead us in worship and the Word. We are blessed that our spiritual lives are cared for by them. 

We look forward to another night with them. 

Al and Grant did a great job installing a new AC unit for Mrs. Faye.

A cool room in a hot and humid place is a blessing! 

Today was our last day at Ms. Faye's house. We got a lot done but there are still more things left to do. 

We hope that a another group like us can come and pick up where we left off. 

We have been blessed by our brothers and sisters at St Andrew's Presbyterian. They had lunch for us every day and this even after a great supper, we watched a movie with the youth group. 

We came to serve but we have been served so much by the people here. 

We had the opportunity to go on a swamp tour with captain Eli. 

It was a very fun, educational, and awe-inspiring tour, plus we got to see some gators. 

Our hosts at FBC gave us a tour of the church which was built and dedicated back in the early 1900s. 

The church features the largest stained glass window in America. 

The art work is mesmerizingly beautiful!
