Alto Impacto Youth

Esta semana tenemos la bendición de contar con el Pastor Allen de la Iglesia El Remanente en Belen como staff. Es para nosotros un honor servir junto al Ministerio Alto Impacto a la comunidad de Alto Jabuy en Talamanca. Será una semana de mucha bendición.

This week we’re blessed to have Pastor Allen from Iglesia El Remanente in Belen on staff. It is an honor for us to serve with Alto Impacto in the community of Alto Jabuy in Talamanca. It will be a week of great blessing!

Ya llegamos a Talamanca. Estamos muy emocionados de servir a esta hermosa comunidad. Sabemos que Dios hará cosas grandes esta semana.

We arrived in Talamanca. We’re excited to serve this wonderful community. We know God will do great things this week!

Hoy por la mañana fuimos a Palí para realizar las compras de los alimentos que estaremos distribuyendo durante la semana en Alto Jabuy. Fue un poco de locos pero amamos haber podido tener esta experiencia!

This morning we went to Pali to buy the food we will be distributing during the week in Alto Jabuy. It was a little crazy but we loved we were able to have this experience!

El grupo misionero que se encuentra sirviendo actualmente en la comunidad de Carbon, tomaron un momento para orar por nosotros antes de subir a Alto Jabuy. Fue un momento muy lindo donde pudimos experimentar la unión de dos culturas diferentes pero con un mismo Dios!

The missionary team that is currently serving at the base camp in Carbon, took a moment to pray for us before going up to Alto Jabuy. It  was a very nice moment where we were able to experience the unity of two different cultures but with the same God!

Llegamos a Alto Jabuy y estamos muy contentos y emocionados de compartir con la iglesia y la comunidad. Hoy pudimos compartir con los niños y jugar distintos juegos con ellos! Nos llena de mucho gozo ver sus sonrisas en sus rostros!

We made it to Alto Jabuy and we’re so happy and excited to share with the church and the community. Today we were able to share with the children and play some games with them! It fills us with joy to see the smiles on their faces!

Hoy luego de empacar las bolsas de alimentos, oramos por bendición para cada una de las familias que visitaremos para la distribución de alimentos! Sabemos que Dios se glorificará en cada familia que visitemos a lo largo de la semana!

After packing the food bags, we prayed for blessing for each of the families we will visit for food distribution! We know that God will be glorified in each family we visit throughout the week!

Hoy por la mañana salimos a la comunidad a entregar nuestros primeros diarios de alimentos. Disfrutamos poder conocer y visitar los hogares de las familias de la comunidad quienes nos recibieron con brazos abiertos.

This morning we went out into the community to deliver our first food bags. We enjoyed visiting the homes of the families in the community who welcomed us with open arms.

Para el proyecto de construcción, el equipo actualmente se encuentra trabajando en las aulas de escuela dominical en la iglesia. Hoy logramos colocar las cerchas para luego poder iniciar a ponerles el techo.

For the construction project, the team is currently working on the Sunday Bible School classrooms at the church. Today we got the trusses up to be able to put the roof on them.

Parte del equipo también ha trabajado en la pintura de la cabaña que se encuentra en la propiedad de la iglesia. Amamos cómo se ve con el nuevo color.

Part of the team has also been working on painting the cabin that is on the church property. We love how it looks with the new color.

Una de nuestras partes favoritas del viaje ha sido jugar con los niños de la comunidad. Nos encanta pasar tiempo con ellos y hacer nuevos amigos. Hoy estuvimos pintando y hablando acerca de la historia del hijo prodigo!

One of favorite parts of the trip has been playing with the kids of the community. We love spending time with them and making new friends. Today we were coloring and talking about the story of the prodigal son.

Hoy durante el ministerio de mujeres hablamos acerca de Romanos 10:9 que dice:

“que si confesares con tu boca que Jesús es el Señor, y creyeres en tu corazón que Dios le levantó de los muertos, serás salvo.”

Fue un tiempo muy hermoso donde pudimos compartir la palabra de Dios, tejer y crear nuevos vínculos con las mujeres de la comunidad.

Today during the women’s ministry we talked about Romans 10:9 which says:

“If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

It was a lovely time where we were able to share the Word of God, do some knitting work and to create new bonds with the women of the community.

Parte del grupo esta mañana visitó la comunidad de Alto Cohen para la distribución de alimentos. Tuvimos que pasar por ríos y montañas para llegar a las casas de las familias de esta comunidad. Dios impactó mucho nuestros corazones a través de esta visita.

This morning a part of the group visited the community of Alto Cohen for food distribution. We had to walk through rivers and mountains to reach the homes of the families in this community. God impacted our hearts a lot through these visits.

En el ministerio de niños amamos poder cuidar a todos los bebés mientras sus mamás realizan los talleres en el ministerio de mujeres. Nos encanta poder tener este tiempo con ellos!

At VBS we love being able to take care of all the babies while their moms do the activities at women’s ministry. We love having this time with them!

Durante el ministerio de mujeres, las chicas del grupo les enseñaron a las mujeres de la comunidad a hacer pasteles. Fue un tiempo muy hermoso donde pudimos aprender de ambas culturas, además de comer rico.

At women’s ministry, the ladies of the group taught the women of the community how to make pasteles. It was a beautiful time where we were able to learn about both cultures, as well as eat a delicious treat. 

Pudimos terminar el techo para las aulas de escuela dominical. Estamos muy contentos de haber realizado este proyecto para el Pastor Amado y su iglesia. Sabemos que será un espacio de mucha bendición donde muchos niños aprenderán de la palabra de Dios.

We were able to finish the roof for the classrooms at the church. We’re so happy to have finished this project for Pastor Amado and his church. We know it will be a space of great blessing where many children will learn from God’s Word.
