Brandywine Valley Baptist Church

After a long day of travel, we made it to our partner church, Vida Abundante. Time to settle in and hang out! We are so excited for the week ahead!

We got all dressed up this morning for our Sunday morning church service! It was a great experience for our team to attend a mostly Spanish worship service and meet members of the church.

Our afternoon was spent writing community care cards, preparing for the week of ministry, and spending time together as a team. We explored a local park and found a beautiful spot to take a group picture!

We started off our week of ministry today! Half of our group went to Providence Rescue Mission to serve. There, we began the project of cleaning out a store room full of soda. With a lot of hard work and God’s grace, we were able to make a lot of progress!

We jumped back into our projects today and made great progress at Providence Rescue Mission! The room with the soda was emptied all the way, cleaned, and restocked. Everyone worked so hard, and we are nearing completion!

What a special surprise we had this morning! The couple whose house we have been painting this week brought Indian chai and samosas for us to try. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with those we are serving and to pray over them.

For our last day serving at Providence Rescue Mission, our team finished cleaning and organizing the store room - so satisfying! We were able to do extra tidying too. As we wrapped up our day, we had the blessing of hearing from Pastor Luis about the ministry at Providence Rescue Mission and all the good things God is doing there. Our team was encouraged and grateful for the ways we got to partner with this organization in serving the community.

We ended this full and fun day by attending Wednesday night service at our partner church. Three of our team members volunteered to share special music with the church, which was beautiful! We enjoyed getting to worship God in two languages together. Then we joined with the young adults from the church for a time of devotions and fellowship. It was a sweet night!

It's hard to believe that our week in Providence is already coming to an end! We spent our last day exploring Boston and ended the night with a fun team talent show. We are enjoying this last bit of time here!

Our week has come to an end and it's time to leave. We had such a fantastic week and can't wait to tell you all about how God was at work when we get home! Thank you for supporting us on this mission.
