After 16 hours of traveling through rain storms and bathroom breaks we finally arrived at Resthaven.

We went to The Crossing Ministry Church for Sunday Service. We were honored to watch a young gentleman receive his certificate for completing the recovery program. Our group prayed for his continued success and asked God to protect him and his family.

Siesta Beach

We all needed a siesta after that long drive to Florida so we decided to venture over to Siesta Beach in Sarasota. We had a great time!

Our job today was to tear out the drywall in the upstairs rooms and to take out the insulation in the ceiling. We enjoyed getting all our frustration out on those walls by kicking them in and bashing them with sledgehammers.

Nightly Meetings

Each night after dinner we meet to share a highlight of the day. Tonight we had a special guest who shared her testimony on how God has saved her from her addictions and made her the person she was meant to be in God’s eyes.

Demo Dumpster Crew

After finishing up at the first house, our team went over to Pam’s house. It was FULL of sports memorabilia which had been collected over the years by her husband’s dad. We had to sort through stuff to keep what was worth saving. It was a difficult time for Pam but we managed to save quite a bit for her. The rest we filled up two dumpsters!

The HGTV crew

HGTV needs to hire these two. They put in a sink, cut out the hole in the granite countertop. Hooked up the water, and mudded the drywall in the bathroom. Needless to say they did a great job!

Pam shares her story
