Abundant Life Assembly of God

We made it to Costa Rica safe and sound and can't wait to have a wonderful week serving alongside pastor Adolfo and the local church for God's glory! 

After such a long journey and good food, we headed to the church to see our brothers and sisters from the local church. They welcomed us with so much love and joy, and we were able to have a beautiful time of fellowship. 

Also, Samuel shared his testimony with the youth about how in the past he didn't have good friends, but after certain situations, he had the opportunity to have wonderful people around him who supported him through good and bad times, like David and Jonathan from the Bible. 

We also participated in an icebreaker where we had to figure out what the person behind was acting out without using a single word. We certainly had so much fun! 

What a beautiful moment we had at Sunday Service. We could worship together as the body of Christ. Joe and Alyse sang some songs and the church loved it. 

Pastor Devin shared today at the church about Jesus is our foundation, He is the one who built the church and the gates of Hades will not overcome it! 

After lunch we went to the grocery store to buy all the supplies we needed for the food distribution. What a great team!

Some women from Abundant Life Church made these prayer shawls for the families we have been visiting, to be a daily reminder of God's love and how there are people from another country praying for them. That's amazing!

This morning we had the opportunity to deliver 10 bags of food! 

This afternoon part of the group worked on the construction of the new kitchen of the church. They were able to lay the first foundations and part of the walls. We're so excited! 

At VBS a lovely girl named Isabella wanted to tell the David and Goliath story. She did a great job. She explained it in so many details and finally helped those beautiful kids to understand the story. 

It was so beautiful to see a child speak about the Word of God to other children! 

This afternoon we also spent time with the beautiful ladies of the church! 

Julie gave a message of encouragement, faith and healing. She spoke about the woman with the blood issue and how she had that encounter with Jesus. 

In women's ministry we also had the opportunity to pray for the ladies, their families and all their needs. After that, these women prayed for us, for our families and our needs, reminding us that we are still human!

What a beautiful time we had this morning, visiting families from the local church. Not only were we able to deliver some food but we were able to pray for them as well!

As we have been doing the new kitchen, today we weld part of the roof!

In the afternoon we went to different houses to visit them, pray for their needs, receive prayer requests and also to give them words of encouragement.

Last night we had men's ministry, it was a blast!

We had some fellowship, worship and prayer with the men of the church. 

Shawn, Jorge and Fredd shared their testimonies and at the end Anthony, one of the locals, shared his testimony with us. It was wonderful to hear all the good things that God has been doing through each one of us!
