WeServe

The WeServe team has arrived safe and sound in Jamaica. All are accounted for! What a shock when they stepped out of the airport to the humidity and heat.

After a nice cold drink, some coke, some juice, and others water we loaded the bus and headed to the hotel to get checked in. Now a little rest and off to Scotchies for some awesome jerk chicken to feed the hungry bellies. 

Last night we met together and shared about the week, policy agreement, and ministry opportunities that will come up this week. We also took a few minutes to introduce ourselves and get to know each other and what we hoped to get out of the trip.

After morning devotions at Jacobs Well, the team got busy in the classrooms and with construction projects.

The children were excited to hear Deb read "How Dinosaurs Eat Their Food."  

We are preparing to work on the decking on the second floor of the sanctuary expansion at Jacobs Well.  Pastor Earle's prayer is to lodge teams here in the future.   

There were many buckets of sand and stone in this bucket brigade.  The team is working hard in preparation of pouring concrete tomorrow.  

WeServe is giving Jacobs Well Preschool a little facelift this afternoon.  They are such hard workers and awesome servants.  Day one has kept the team busy!

The team has worked so hard today to give a much-needed facelift to the preschool.  A second coat tomorrow and it will look brand new for their preschool graduation on Thursday.

Concrete mixing has begun.  There will be hundreds of buckets poured for flooring today.  The team is ready and Willing.

The children have loved having visitors return to their classrooms.  The parachute was a huge hit.

We are getting ready for a delicious dinner at Toby's in Montego Bay. 

The team worked so hard today in the classrooms and mixing and pouring concrete.  It was a long, busy, and very productive day.  The team has worked hard and are making a huge impact at Jacobs Well.

Peyton taught the children a song about Speckled Frogs.  The children loved it!

It has been crazy hot here in Jamaica.  Deb was feeling the heat and Mitchell jumped right in to help her. 

What a wonderful ending to an amazing week of serving and loving on others.  Pastor Earle and Jacob's Well Church couldn't be more grateful for the long-term partnership with We Serve and their teams.  It truly has been another fantastic week at Jacob's Well.  We love you Pastor Earle and cannot wait to return in November.
