We finally arrived after a 2 day drive from Pennsylvania!! The PPM staff were so excited to meet the team after spending many months in prayer for this week.
The team arrived early so they could help set up and prepare for VBS this week at Shelby Forest Baptist Church. The church family and our new friends are so excited that we are here to serve alongside them in bringing the gospel to the children in this community.
Everyone is tired and has headed to bed for the night. We are excited to see what tomorrow brings.

Jenna, Max and Rachel led us in a powerful Worship service this morning. The church members absolutely loved it!
Pastor Kevin was trying to talk them into staying here even after the trip ends!

Judy was busy baking pizzas for the team for dinner. I think Tyler was trying to sneak a bite before the rest of the team came in.
The church made a delicious BBQ lunch and a wonderful pizza and salad bar for dinner.
They are spoiling our team and showing so much love to each of us.

Tonight’s Bible story was about Zaccheus. Ethan acted out the story by collecting taxes from the children. They were very upset, until God forgave Zaccheus and he returned their money times four.

Some of our team started the day at St. Vincent. We prepared and served food to the hungry. Before we left we picked up the trash outside the building.

We were excited to help with VBS again tonight. The children love all of the activities. One favorite are the games. The Church gym is a great place to play and avoid the heat.

Jenna and Sophia were determined to get busy painting even without a ladder. This is the start of a mural for the ladies at Liseaux Drop In Center.

The kids were so excited to return tonight. We began with an awesome time of worshipping and singing and dancing together.
We're expecting God to show up in mighty ways tonight. These children are so open to hearing the word of God and love learning about Him.

This morning part of our group partnered with Heights CDC to remove litter from an abandoned store parking lot. Two kind city workers stopped by and took our full bags of trash.
The lot looked so much better when we left.

These ladies worked so hard cleaning and detailing The Liseux Community van. It needed a ton of work. The ladies that work at Liseaux are so busy serving the ladies from the community that they don't have extra time to do many projects.
The girls volunteered right away to clean the van. I have never seen a cleaner vehicle. Whitney couldn't have been more thrilled when she saw the final product.
Taylor and Aliyah are true servants for the Lord.

Making Melodies silly song is definitely the kids favorite song. Obviously it is Pastor Randy's too.
We are having so much fun at VBS.

The children are always excited for craft time. Tonight’s craft was an “I Spy” bottle. The bottle was filled with colored rice and a few tiny objects. Now the children can spy the objects inside the bottle and remember their Bible story.

The beginning of a beautiful mural for the ladies garden at Liseaux. We can't wait to see it when it's completed. What joy it will bring to the ladies when they are relaxing in the garden.

Our morning began with a delicious breakfast. Then we got busy completing several projects at Shelby Forest Baptist Church, our host Church. One group began painting the church nursery. What a blessing this will be for the Church families.

After the nursery was painted a new floor was installed. Pastor Randy and Chef Mark got rather sticky laying down the new carpet squares. Crawling babies will appreciate the new carpet.

The water spot in the ceiling and on the wall upstairs were removed. Next new drywall was installed. Chef Mark used his skills to apply the mud. After sightseeing in Memphis it was ready to sand. Ethan was a quick learning.
