Church of the Servant

We started the week off by attending the English and Spanish services at the church we are serving and sleeping in for the week, Hughes United Methodist. We got to introduce ourselves and share a little about the VBS we are running and pray over the congregation and the kids! It was really cool to be a part of the Spanish worship!

Monday was our first day of VBS and we welcomed over 50 kids into Hughes United Methodist Church! We had fun doing crafts, sports, worship, skits and so much more. We are excited to love on these kids this week and show them the love of Jesus!

Our craft for the day was making a nativity scene out of popsicle sticks. The kids had a lot of fun and were very creative!

We did a half day of VBS on Thursday. In Bible Adventures, we talked about sharing the gospel and how it can travel from person to person. We did an activity to represent this by one person putting glitter hand sanitizer on and then shaking someone’s hand, and that person would shake someone else’s hand and it went around the circle. And by the end, everyone had glitter on their hand, showing how even just one person sharing the gospel can make a big impact and reach many people!
