After a long day of driving, we have arrived! We are staying at the First Baptist Church of Waldorf. Please keep us in your prayers as we prepare our hearts for ministry this week!

This morning, we got to join the youth of the church in their Sunday School! We had some donuts, played name bingo, and talked about Matthew 27 and the importance of Jesus’ death. We also attended the church service and heard from Pastor Randy on John 1.

We got to explore a bit of DC this afternoon!

Today one of our groups went to work at a local organization called Lifestyles. Lifestyles works with the homeless in the community to provide housing and food along with many other resources for those at risk.
Today we cleaned cots (as pictured) did yard work, assembled outdoor furniture, and helped sort and move items in the warehouse.

Monday morning, the Orange Team went to Martha’s Table, which helps with food insecurity and education in the community. We had so much fun partaking in their joyful grocery packing and other tasks they had for us to help with!

In the afternoon, we got to go to the Capitol Hill Pregnancy Center. They are an awesome resource for the inner city community and provide many services and fill many needs of families. We helped clean, sort diapers and donations of baby clothes, and did some yard work!

Today one of our teams worked at Martha’s Table! We helped unload a truck of groceries and pack lots of grocery bags to be distributed to those who need them in the community.

Today the Red Team went to lifestyles, INC. and helped out with organizing and painting furniture so the new facility can open.

The Orange team got to go to Cobb Island Baptist Church on Tuesday. We worked hard all day and had a good time doing it! We primed and painted three rooms!
One of the goals of this church is to be more inviting to young people, and we are excited to be able to help make that possible!

On Wednesday, the Blue Team went to Cobb Island to work on the church. We were able to finish sanding and painting the walls the other teams have been working on all week.

It's unbelievable to have viewed this divine website. You're doing an amazing job for the Kingdom of God while here planet earth.
