Our Redeemer Lutheran Church

We made it safely to Puerto Rico this afternoon. We drove out west to Mayaguez, where we will be serving this week. Please pray for us as we attend church tomorrow and interact with the communities we will be serving in! 

This morning we joined the people of Iglesia Bautista Mayagüez for Bible school and Sunday morning service. 

There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. - Ephesians 4:4?-?6 

On Sunday afternoon, our large group split into three ministry sites:

1. Iglesia Bautista Unida - We attended another church service with a smaller congregation. 

2. Lares - We visited the community of a home we will be repairing this week. We met Teresa who has been organizing relief efforts in the area, and we prayed for a few families we met. 

3. Hogar Jesus - We worked at an addiction rehabilitation facility to repair some damage from the hurricane.
