We just arrived to the Matanuska glacier! We're about to hike our way into the ice age! What a way to start the week off right! & it's only 37 degrees!

We wrapped up our Sunday by having some pizza at a new pizza joint in Wasilla, Alaska. Tomorrow, we begin working at the camp. 

We're here at Kids Kupboard helping pack sandwiches for the amazing community of Wasilla!

Nope. Right up front. There was lots of green and seasoned wood that we separated out and stacked for the busy upcoming season.  

Camp Director Rick said it’s time to get the blob out and get it ready to put on the lake. We’re super excited, and it’s a perfect day with sunshine.

The snow is gone and now the work begins. Lots of leaves and limbs to burn. 

Yay. A good finish to a great day serving. Had hotdogs and s’mores by the lake and then some volleyball. 

Meet Matthew, the executive director of Frontline Mission. He is sharing the incredible story of this small church, (once a strip club, now repurposed as a place of worship). And how the church is helping transform the small communities of Big Lake and Houston AK with serve nights. They feed the entire community which has many families in need. 

Finally sending off the blob! The weather held out! If only we could jump off it!

The Big Dipper... but not the stars, the ice cream shop. Maybe best in Alaska, we all enjoyed it for sure!

A dear lady recently lost her brother and she came to Alaska to clean out his home. He rarely threw anything away, so it was a daunting task for the family. They appreciated the help. Another dumpster will he delivered today. 

Amazing ladies helped plant flowers around the campground today! Even through the rain!
