Head Pastor Testimony:
Pastor Memo (or Guillermo) was born in Santa Cruz, Costa Rica. He attended the University of Costa Rica. While in the university, he started drinking a lot of alcohol. In 2005 he met Jesus after many people had been praying for him and inviting him to church. He was invited to a small group and finally attended. While there, he gave his life to Jesus Christ. The first year of being saved, he lived much like the world did. The last time he drank alcohol, he heard these words over and over: “Come to the house.” When he arrived home, he found a Bible opened up to Ecclesiastes 12:13 where it says to fear God and keep His commands. He never took another drink of alcohol after that day. A pastor from Panama told him that he had great potential in ministry and gave him his first study Bible, and the money to cover his first Bible school class! The rest is history. He married his wife Shirley in 1980, and they have one daughter and one son.
Meet the church:
Centro Cristiana Familia de Dios
The church is located in a beautiful village close to Rincon de la Vieja National Park. It is in the middle of several farms where around 200 people live, and it serves as the heart, base, and meeting point of the community. Their mission is to work and serve the children and families of the community for the glory of God and His kingdom. Their mission is to lead souls to Christ, disciple them, and then send them out to share the Good News. They simply want to exemplify the commands of Jesus Christ to bring the message of salvation to all peoples. Matthew 28:19-20.
